Okay, so enter the Plotlines board.
Here's what happens here:
If you need to use this board: find the thread here that matches the name of the thread you got lost in, and...well, read what's there.
If you know what's going on and someone else doesn't: You get to start/update the Plot Guide (i.e., this thing) of the thread in question. Hooray for you! Remember, though, if you don't do it, there is no point to this thread.
To make it easier, here is the stuff you want to include, not necessarily using this form, though. it's just an outline.

CURRENT location of the characters: (Not the board it's under, we all move around a lot. Easy to get lost there.)
Current issue/topic:
Important characters:
Characters that could come in at this point if not there before:
Anything else?
